Susan’s creative career began in the graphic design industry in Sydney. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Graphic Design) from Charles Sturt University – Riverina… but spent much more time in the drawing studio than the computer lab!
She is compelled to depict the landscape and horizons of her home in the Blue Mountains. Inspired by the changing nature of this ancient landscape – she experiments with light, shade, texture and atmosphere.
Susan has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in the Blue Mountains, Sydney and regional NSW. Her art has been well received with art sales and awards. Her art and commissions are held in collections throughout Australia, United Kingdom, USA and Singapore. She has regularly attended an artist retreat that is held every year at Arthur Boyd’s Bundanon Trust in the Shoalhaven NSW, with a group of female artists.
She loves the juggle of artist and graphic designer from her home studio as well as mum and taxi driver for her growing family. When it all gets too much she heads for the bush to draw in the National Park and drink tea with her art buddies.
She is currently painting for her next exhibition in Katoomba in November 2019.
